Library

      A good well-equipped library is a sign known for the intellectual, moral, and spiritual advancement and elevation of the student knowledge. It is a centre of wholesome education, and the quencher of thirst for concrete, fathomless, ultimate knowledge !Library does not mean merely a collection of books. It is a learned institution equipped with treasures of knowledge maintained, organized, and managed by trained personnel to educate the students continuously and assist in their self-improvement through an effective and prompt dissemination of information embodied in the resources. The Library caters to the information needs of the institute's faculty, students & staff. Institute library will have more than 10418 volumes &1504 titles covering all disciplines of engineering Our central library functions round the clock for the benefit of the students & faculty..

Objectives of the library

    • To procure, process and disseminate the information to all the users of the library.
    • To help students and staff in their curriculum activities.
    • To help the students in obtaining knowledge for their better future
    • To save the valuable time of all the users

Library Timing

Monday to Saturday: 9.00 AM to 10.00 PM

Library Rules


Rules for Home Issue / Return

1.

  • At a time, maximum FIVE books will be issued on one borrow card to each student.

2.

The books must be returned within FOURTEEN days. Students will have to pay the penalty of Rs. 2 /- per day for a week. There after Rs.10 per day

3.

In case of a book having high demand, renewal may be possible on request at the discretion of the Librarian.

Reading Room Rules

1.

  • In the Reading room, only one book will be issued against valid   Identity Card. The book must be returned before leaving the reading room.

2.

In case of violation of norm 1, a student will be required to pay heavy penalty to the minimum extent of Rs. 100/- per day.

3.

Students must not take any book outside reading room / library.

4.

            • Every student has to produce valid Identity Card while using the reading room / library.

 

General Rules

 

1.

Students should take utmost care of the books, avoiding damages / loss

2.

        • Dag-earring, marking, writing, rearing or taking out pages of the books will be treated as damage to the book.

3.

Every student must return all the books before proceeding on vacation.

4.

  • For the loss or serious damage to the books, students have to replace the same book or pay heavy penalty, which will be decided by the Librarian.

5.

  • No any student is supposed to keep / use the cell-phone inside the reading room / library.

6.

Every student must maintain silence & discipline in the reading room / library.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Library Services


Open Access

All BMP Library User shall be allowed to have an open access to the stack room; others may be granted open access in special cases by the Librarian on his issuing a written pass on every occasion.

OPAC

OPAC is an Online Public Access Catalog. This is used by libraries to catalog its books and other media. Users can search this catalog to find the location and availability.

Reprographic Service
1.
        • Reprographic service shall be provided to the users on written application to the Librarian. The Xerox copies of Library documents shall be provided except Project Report.
2.
    • Xerox copies shall be provided to users on the next day of the application.
3.
          • Charges for Xeroxing shall be 1 Rs. per exposure for A-4 size copy.
Internet Service

E-Mail & Internet services shall be provided for academic purposes only. The Internet E-Mail Services shall be provided free of cost to the Faculty Member & Students of the BMP  for Official use/ Research / Educational purpose on written recommendation of concerned H.O.D./ Principal.

Book Loan Service

The library has got a book bank scheme exclusively for the YD students and Passed out Students. The students can avail two books for a semester.

News Paper Service

Students get English as well as Marathi News papers for evading in the library for updating their current knowledge.

Borrower’s Ticket Service

Under this Service each student gets borrow card. On each borrow card five books are issued to the student for 14 days only.

Instructions for Student

Library users should keep quiet inside the library.  Respect the needs of the other users

    • Eating, drinking, and smoking are absolutely prohibited inside the library.
3
    • Using mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited; keep mobiles on silent mode.
4
    • Do not shelve books yourself after use.  Leave them on the tables to be shelved by the library staff.
5
    • Do not take out the library materials without proper borrowing.
6
    • Remove personal items, papers, bottles and other litters while leaving the library.
7
    • Do not leave your reading materials and notebooks in the library.
8
    • Please use library materials, equipments, and furniture with care.
9
    • Library users requested to cooperate with library staff and follow library instructions.
Those users, who fail to observe the above instructions, may be asked to leave the library.  This may lead to cost-recovery charges, and/or suspension of library privileges.
Reading Room
1
    • Any person desiring to make use of reading room facility may be admitted at the discretion of the Librarian.

  1. The reading room card shall be produced for scrutiny at the time when so requested by the Library staff.
3
  1. Each member belonging to the category G & H shall have to produce on identity card on demand for verification.
4
Books and journals requisitioned by the members shall be issued on presentation of a requisition slip duly filled in and handed over to the person In-charge, who shall thereafter procure the same for the member
